Happy birthday, little one!

Today is my dairy free baby's first birthday. It also marks 9 months dairy free for me. He's passed the first 2 steps of the dairy ladder, but we took a break for his birthday since he'll be getting shots on Friday.

As I've looked back over a year's worth of photos recently, it's struck me just how different he looked around when he was diagnosed with his dairy intolerance. Low weight gain was one of our biggest issues, and he dropped from the 67th percentile at birth to 4th at 3 months old when I cut dairy. By his 9 month appointment in December, he was up to the 13th percentile. I'm curious to see where he'll be on Friday.

If you look at my pic, I've got shots of him at birth, at 3 months, and earlier this week. The eyes are where I really notice a big difference. His whole face just shrunk so much when he wasn't tracking on his growth curve. He's thriving and hitting all his milestones, and he'll be walking fully before we know it!

Thank you for posting this. My baby is three months and I’ve recently determined through trial and error the dairy is a big issue for him. He is just starting to lose weight and dropping percentiles. I’m hoping to try and catch it now to get him caught up as soon as possible.

Good luck! My son's percentiles stabilized within a week of cutting dairy. It was really remarkable hit quickly he leveled out.
