Nah, amd is the way to go, cheaper for the same performance, and it comes with an active protection system.

The amd will still be useful, a t55 with stab and hard kill aps. Hull has composite armor too iirc.

Definitely painful, especially after getting so close. Although being able to get both together makes for a great lineup.

Yeah, a better (worse) situation would be if you almsot unlock the amd finaly and then its upteired to 8.7 and then you didnt get either vehicle in all that time and now have to keep going for one vehicle and dont get lineup right away.

Alright but now in all seriousness. I have not been playing WT since many months. No matter how much I love tanks i can't bring myself to go through this painful grind. I love how easily community falls apart when there is a new vehicle of high interest announced. The game might be a dumpster on fire, but look a "vehicle i really want but won't be able play" is coming. Monkey neuron activated
The argument that "but you had 3 weeks" is mostly made by 2 types of people: a) idiot with too much cash and b) basement dweller who does nothing but play the game 16 hours a day.
It had been said hundreds of time already: "Gaijin listens only to money, so stop giving it to them if you want game to change", but community as usual goes monkey

AM-1 has composite armor added to the turret cheeks, while the AMD has an aps system instead. There may be a few other differences, but this is the main one

I remember I was researching the Thunderbolt line to get the F-82, then, when I was one vehicle away from it, they changed it to the Lightning branch (which I hadn't researched at that point), I'm now, again, one vehicle away from it.

Good i managed to research T-62 before T-55 AMD dropped. Still thinking should i research it or research T-72 first.

Tbh you should be Happy, the T-62 is only meh, The new T-55 is really good looking i mean laser rangefinder really neat and what you need and even APS.
Comes good for a 8.3 line up. Choose rather this the. The T-62 tbh

I really wish people would stop being surprised by this. Y'all know how the fucking game works. You see new vehicles are coming. You have weeks to get shit done. Fucking get it done or quit complaining.
Sorry, but some people have lives outside of WT and only time for a few games per day. If the game forces you to play in order to not loose progress. It’s a bad game. Gaijin should quit this bullshit mechanic and let people buy the vehicles they researched.
I have a life, I only play a few games per day. I don't get pissy over new vehicles that I knew about weeks before. Sort yourself out.
You're right, it's a mechanic that should be removed, but being a little bitch every time it happens and posting about it on Reddit as if it's some dumb new thing that nobody expected won't solve anything.
It takes one so long to research a vehicle and their anticipation and excitement lie on playing that vehicle, Then what took you days if not weeks to grind suddenly becomes blocked behind yet another vehicle that's beyond your control.
You ain't a warthunder player if you don't become annoyed slightest when such a thing happens.
