I'm a UPS driver and typically like to ask the local mechanic the problems with vehicles I write up and what not. However, we will be losing all our diesels soon and this problem won't be addressed.

I was driving a cummins with an Allison 1000 (has about 505k miles on the chassis). As I was going along the transmission refused to shift out of third, yet at some point suddenly downshifted into second where it was stuck at for a good 15 miles. After red lining the engine for about 20 minutes i made it to my first delivery. Popped it into reverse, the transmission sounded like it exploded while also rocking me to oblivion. The same happened again when I put into drive after that, yet had no ot

I'm not exactly sure how to type this all out or in what order so I will do it chronologically.

July 4th I had asked a girl to be my girlfriend, she said yes and then we began our relationship. It was good until I had mechanical problems with a vehicle. I was stressed out, not thinking properly, and just not really giving her the attention she needed.

I understand this, I felt bad, I didn't want her to feel like she was being used or having her emotions played with so sometime mid September I broke up with her. I went in person, tried to be nice, straight forwards, and just all around kind to her. She still cried and I wasn't really sure what to do.

Between November and December we had s

I know it sucks, but we still have a job to do. Don't take out your frustrations on your customers today, because they bought stuff. It's management that's making us work today.

I have a 2015 ford escape I purchased recently and after 5k miles driving (almost 142k odo) I got my first check engine light. It is an exhaust cam position sensor that popped on a 2.0L ecoboost.

I was wondering if there were any tips any mechanics had on either doing this without removing a section of intake or if I have to, what tips on removing it? It's quite intimidating and I don't really want to break anything else because the nearest auto parts store is an hour away.

I understand many of you are waiting on an iPhone with the new launch and complaining regarding what happened. All of you who are being rude about it and disrespectful to the drivers and how they sheet something really need to take a moment to sit down and think out your priorities, because something tells me you'd happily abuse your driver over a worthless hunk of junk.

The amount of disrespect I see over a sudden increase in volume is absolutely absurd and there's a few things to note.

  1. If UPS has your package and it isn't crushed, it will get to you.

  2. If you ordered a package and it didn't make it to you, you can reach out to your building, maybe pay a fee, and go pick it up yourse

Last week for the new DIADs we had a fresh update that has seemed to take a lot of the major problems out of the DIAD. Has anyone else gotten it and how do those of you feel about it relative to what it was and against the older DIAD?

So I've got both top tier ground for each, but was wondering what yall think would be good in general? I'm not great in ARB so it would mostly be for GRB and CAS/air support and for fun with friends when they pull out their top tier jets.

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with roughly 166k miles. Recently I've had to replaced the upper/lower ball joints, wheel bearings, brake rotors, and pads. This also means I needed an alignment because my old ball joints were toast. After getting the ball joints done they kept wanting to go toe out continuously, finally get my alignment done today and, well, after driving 45 miles my passenger side is already moving camber out.

Is there some kind of explanation for this? Because I'm incredibly confused that brand new ball joints are just not holding it straight.

Edit: used improper terminology, meant camber instead of toe.

Is there a subreddit for mechanical help in terms of lawn care equipment or other small engines? I'm trying to take a part a weed wacker, but seem to have hit a wall and cannot go any further so I need some assistance with it.
