GMs letting players change factions via Customer Service
Hello dead subreddit. Yesterday 24.3.2022 our archeage community was shocked by huge bombshell news.
A player on EU EVO server Ardenia was depirated because he asked a GM nicely in the customer support. Imagine that. At worst it's favouritism, at best it's incompetence / admins bypassing game mechanics.
Has Kakao Games hit a new low publishing this game? You might as well start asking Kakao to regrade your items via Customer service channels "because you have failed it so many times"
What are your thoughts?

When Kakao employed ex Gamigo GMs, who were neglecting their ingame duties by allowing rampart rmt, botting and cheating, who were known to be selling gold through G2G to cover cost of Trions lawsuit, then I realized Kakao has no idea what was happening with a game before they took over publishing rights.
In my mind, hiring any Gamigo GM is same as employing ex inmates to be police officers.
Personally, I don't even care about the rmt, bots or any other bullshit even if they went unchecked. What Kakao is doing with this game is straight out of a sketch show. They are straight up antagonizing their players with their decisions. There's no communication, no transparency, just utter incompetency or even maliciousness.
It's truly wild to witness how fucked up you can be in your business practices and still stay in business.
They probably learned from Chris Roberts’ Star Citizen.
Jo whats wrong with Star citizen? Havent heard anything bad so far. Please let me know, I‘m curious.
I'm probably not the best person to ask. I'm pretty negatively biased these days.
TLDR: it's a mismanaged, stagnant, overpromised disaster that has become something of a fraudulent business model. And it's still in pre-alpha after 11 years and half a billion dollars (with something like 500+ employees/contractors and 5 offices around the world).
