What did I see today?

Four students in street clothes walking in a regimented line on Osborn by the armory. The second was holding a folded US flag to his chest with his arms crossed in an X over the flag. No speaking and looking straight ahead.

What were they doing?

Probably ROTC practicing a funeral drill just not in uniform

Depending on time of day, could be colors as well. That's where they take the flag down, fold and bring it inside. Happens at sundown

They do the flag ceremony in the morning and evening. Everyday.

Ah, this was morning, around 8am. They were walking away from the flagpole outside the armory. I didn't notice if the armory flag was lifted or not.

I feel like it was colors then. Funerals are a two man job where Colors is 3-4

That's a modern military themed LARPing club on campus called ROTC. I hear they give out great scholarships.

Tbh I thought it was performance art until I saw the flag. Then I figured if art kids were gonna use a flag they'd probably have some sort of statement-making costume to go with it.
