[2035] Vampire Romance Chapter 1

So I've been trying (and kinda failing) to write adult-targeted romance recently. This is my most recent attempt at a paranormal romance. As the title says, it's mainly focused on vampires and takes place in a world where vampires have always been known about and involved with society.

Also spoiler that may or may not determine how you read/review this piece

!The male character featured in this chapter (Kamille) is not the primary love interest for the protagonist (Mina).!<

With that out of the way, here are some questions I have regarding this piece!

1. How did you like the prose/dialogue? Does the POV feel authentic to the age of the character?
2. This chapter starts in media res style so is that element detracting or does it make you more interested?
3. I've been having a lot of trouble developing a more adult voice, so I'm definitely interested in whether or not this reads as adult or YA (just voice, prose, and tone-wise since the characters are too old for YA).
4. Do you want to keep reading by the end? Are you engaged by Mina's struggles or does her character leave a bad taste in your mouth? Same goes for Kamille.
