DAE want WL DLC to include Valentine and Frette as in-game characters?

I really enjoyed this game. I'm still enjoying it, in fact. But it bugs me a little bit that Valentine and Frette are just passive observers to my gameplay, when the framing of the story is that we're all playing B&B together.

Would anyone else like to see DLC where Valentine and Frette are allowed to play?

I feel like if they don't, then the main game's emotional climax with those characters.... Doesn't really make sense. Why would Valentine and Frette both excitedly agree to keep playing with Tina and newbie if "playing" meant watching Tina DM a 1-player campaign?

1-4 depending if ur co-op

But I agree, I'd wished they were like side NPC that would play just like that, just NPC that can help but have no real damage or "smarts" maybe they can't res you in SYS to keep dying an important feature just to make them feel more alive. The side narrative is nice but it does feel weird they are just watching and guiding you through "your" campaign

The writers half justified it by suggesting that newbie needed a handholding campaign, but after the climax that excuse just doesn't hold.

To your point re: 1-4 players -- I spent some time playing WL couch co-op, and the narration doesn't change as far as I could tell, so having 2-4 players was still a little immersion breaking given there's only one newbie addressed.

Granted, I played this game immediately after Horizon Forbidden West, which really raised the bar in terms of branching dialogue that adapts and changes because of character choices, so to be fair I may be expecting more from Gearbox than they ever really promised.

Itd be cool if like Frette was a superboss because Tina lets them use their crazy min maxed character to fight us
