addictive radiance

your golden radiance is blinding

so beautiful, yet dangerous

i’ve been burned before by your rays

yet still i choose to chase you around the earth

i’ll follow you to the end

dancing through the galaxy

until we meet our inevitable despise

.

even when my crust begins to crumble

i will still seek your gleaming face

.

for i am the moon and you are the sun,

we are destined to race in darkness with no real goal in sight.
