I totally think she’s a real jerk and has come to the end of the line. The world doesn’t need to uphold another mean person. But did she actually say something bad about Asians or did she like something about saying the virus came from the lab? I’ve searched and haven’t found those tweets. I mean, a lot of people - probably most of the country - would say don’t unnecessarily shut down the economy, but also - let people live their lives. In other words, liberal with social issues, moderate with financial issues.

Why are we canceling ppl who have different political views? The cdc also said it came from the lab or market??? Im disappointed in her for the fat shaming tweets but everyone has the right to their own political views and shouldnt be cancelled for it. Similiar to musk buying twitter and everyone quitting or disjoining because they cant tolerate hearing any opinion other than their own.

People aren’t “canceling” her for her political views, they’re “canceling” her because they feel misled and disappointed when she claimed to be a feminist and an ally to marginalized populations … and then aligned herself with right-wing politicians who are pushing legislation that target these communities. She’s free to have whatever political views she wants and her followers are free to no longer want to support her based on those views. Personally I don’t like to support businesses that align themselves with political causes I don’t believe in, and that includes influencers (and I have unfollowed a lot who posted alt-right views or conspiracies over the last two years).

Reminds me of a political debate I watched once in which the liberal opponent said something along the lines of "I'm not calling you a member of the KKK/racists, but it's a fact that the KKK endorses your candidacy, so the racists think you are racist" to the super conservative opponent.
