Hi all,

I created this account simply to post this. I'm Tinx's age and run in the same social circle in LA -- we don't know each other, but we know OF each other, if that makes any sense. I absolutely cannot post this under anything but an anonymous account because I own a business and do not want my identity tied to any "snark" commentary, nor do I have the desire to be an "influencer" in the Tinx sense of the word. I will say I do have a small following on Instagram that revolves around my work/some personal life stuff, but I really don't want to weigh in on this there, so I thought I'd post here, where I've been lurking since this sub was at 100 people.

I don’t expect this to be well-received but I think the levels of schadenfreude here might be escalating to a pretty toxic level…

I’ve been a lurker on this sub for a while (even before the tweets) so I obviously appreciate some snark and gossip as much as the next person. However, watching all of this go down has me feeling pretty guilty even in my role as an observer. Tinx has and continues to put some weird, offensive and problematic content out into the universe - there’s no denying that. However, I would encourage those of you who are spending your time and energy into actively trying to bring about her downfall/cancellation to take a beat and asses your motives.

I’m prob gonna get downvoted out of this universe and first off I’d like to say that this is not Tinx lol. I came across this page a while ago and looked at it cause I thought it would be lighthearted jokes about her content as I too find it ridiculous. I understand her racist and fat-phobic tweets and views are absolutely abhorrent so I am not condoning or excusing any of that, she should be cancelled. However, I’ve found myself SO shocked at this page, everyone is so ridiculously horrible and petty about her- her looks/ intelligence etc. I can’t help but read things and literally feel disgusted at how people revel in putting this woman down so much and in such a horrible way. Saw her at a bar in nyc with like 3 guys, which was weird in the first place, and just went up to say hi since I was a fan before this interaction lol. Just said something like hi, I listen to the pod and think you give great advice, and she just smiled in the most like belittling way, looked me up and down, and said nothing. Idk it rubbed me in suchhh a wrong way and I’m no longer a fan. She’s full of shit and def does not practice what she preaches on her podcast, saying she loves when people come up to her and meeting them. Has anyone here actually met Tinx or know what she's like in person? I'm curious if she plays up everything on her tiktok and insta or if she's really like that. Social media can be very deceiving and im just super interested in influencer culture right now and how we can all be so easily tricked by people we see through a screen lol
