Thought I would get something special for a "perfect" clear

I was super uncomfortable going with Guan Yu until I got the Charged Skewer + Poseidon Special. Not sure how else this build would work.
As for my title, I actually didn't lose any health during the [REDACTED] fight. I thought I would get a special victory saying for that. gif

Quick spin hammer upgrade is key for guan Yu, combine with massive spin or the one that makes you sturdy and pulse damage and it doesn't matter what boons you have just get whatever you want. Also upgrading it so you start with more health and are able to heal more is good too, fully upgraded it's one of the strongest spear aspects imo

You normally do get a Run Clear Message for a perfect victory, but not with the Aspect of Guan Yu or if you have Cursed Slash because those just let you take damage and heal it back up.
Interestingly enough, if you lose a bit of HP and heal it back up with Shady, you do get the message.
If you want a similar build to this, but with an Aspect that will allow you to get the message, Exploding Launcher+Charged Skewer on Aspect of Zagreus does the same thing but better (it's just harder to find).

Ooh I did not realise this. I have gotten the perfect clear message once when I was running Stubborn Roots - took damage but healed back to full health by the time the fight was over. So I guess it's the aspects that affect the message and not boon related healing.

How do you have such long clear times? I think its impossible.. do you just stand around afk?

Everyone plays differently doesn't matter how long or short it takes if you're having fun

Of course.. i didnt say the opposite, i just genuinely asked how it's possible.. But people nowadays are so easily butthurt.. To achieve such times either you kite the mobs for an eternity or stay afk. Because mobs will eventually just kill you otherwise if you dont manage to kill them

Its probably both. Im not OP but I'm even slower than him. Cant do the heat with time limit at all, cause it stresses me out way too much. I like to take my time deciding what mobs i do first and line them up perfectly. Its like a wierd Mini game for me thats imensly satisfying. I also like to get breaks in between rooms...

My runs would often take around that long. If I don’t have tight deadline, I like to stop and check every room thoroughly after I kill everything. Break all the pots, etc. that’s just how I play most games. Don’t like to miss anything.

Some people aren’t trying to speedrun, and that’s fine. Takin their time and enjoying the game shouldn’t be a crime. What is your fastest clear?

Because I'm bad lol. Not afk, but I probably do stand around deciding on what boon to take, etc. I pretty much open the book every time and see what I need/want.

My first clears were literally like 45 to an hour. It adds a ton of time when you’re new and terrified to take hits. My average is about 20 minutes now
