I’ve got a sinking feeling this next Scourge event is going to be even more of a grind.

jesus how am I suppose to build all of this stuff. Honestly this is becoming a breaking point. I've hoarded for so long and I can't play it smart anymore I have to build everything.

Here’s my thing: I had been building WW for a while, so putting a little more polish on them for the MLF event wasn’t a huge deal.
I took Darkhold to about 720k right off the bat because arena is important to me, and arena characters are time sensitive.
The other horsemen are supposed to lead teams that are also dominant in a single game mode, but…. there’s not really any hurry to build up teams for other game modes all that fast. I’ll build the horsemen as I unlock them, but their respective teams are probably going to be on the back burner for a while.
That being said, I’m a little worried about getting burned out with so many scourge events this year, but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

Depends on your goals. I know I will not get 5+ stars on the next horseman. So I’m building just to clear difficulty 5 or hopefully 6. I had a nice ww for the last one but I didn’t keep pushing them because it wouldn’t have gotten me to the next tier.

the problem is that They haven't told us the requirements for apcolypse for all we know you need 5 star on all these horsemen and if they don't repeat this scourge before he comes out you are completely fucked the first time around.

I’m free to play and I don’t have fomo. I’m used to not always getting legendaries first pass. We aren’t supposed to know everything in the release calendar or how it will all work. That’s part of the game and the fun. The anticipation and strategy. If you need everything right away, then you are free to buy it. Otherwise take a breath and try to have fun playing the game. 😁

Cerebro said they'll be running at least Morgan's event again before Apoc comes out, we'll see if they try to squeeze each one out twice by the end of the year.
As for building teams, you don't need to build up every single character from the list for the next scourge. Pick your best ones based on stars and who you may have built up already and go from there. Also it's not until the end of next patch, you've got time.

I guarantee they will need to be at least 5 stars. You’re correct. Also, despite what was said, free to play should be unlocking these legendaries now that they’re 3 star unlock and super important in their respective modes.

That's the neat thing. You don't. Unless you're spending money. The demands on resources outweigh the supply for a reason. It should be easy enough for an unlock if nothing else for tons of people though given the friendly nature of unlocking these so far.

Well you basically have 2 patches to prepare. That’s 2 months.

It depends on how hard you want to go. I managed to comfortably get a 4* MLF just by building Dark Hunters to g14. Didn’t have any web warriors built.
If the pattern Keeps up, it’s looking like legendary unlocks on the first run will be very doable. Which for me is an improvement over the old “rank this team All up to 5* and also this legendary character, and get them all to g12+”.

Tauna said that during his interview with Scopely that the devs used YoYo as an unofficial fifth member of AF. Something about her passive applying offense down due to AF not having a protector? So apparently that works well with the team. And if so they’ll probably design the event to cater towards using AF and YA as two tandem teams to hit either one node a piece or both in tandem. Could be that the node toons combined will easily take out BB I bet

The bulky horseman on fire is probably red hulk, which would make him War. So probably a war team with the others

I forget if it's Nico or Spiderwoman but one of them reduces the accuracy of the enemy if they have offense down. Yoyo and Spiderwoman apply offense down like Brewster had to give away his millions (look it up, that's a good reference lol) so you are essentially giving yourself evade or them blind constantly.

I say YA is the best team since its a 5 person team. Inhumans only got minor health buff to some. A-Force is incomplete. You could throw Yo-Yo onto that team but regardless we don't have Spider-Woman and Nico yet available at least not F2P so that's less time to build them up.
I'm focusing on YA starting today.

In this situation I think you are gonna be better or at least as good using a hybrid between the teams. Especially better if you already had certain chars like bb already built and the new chars sitting fresh.
Bb yoyo sg miles cm would be an easily accessible team to most. CM could come out for a new char

More choices is good. Plus it depends on the nodes because a lot of us already have inhumans built for either legendary dd or for maw and doom campaign but there's no way to tell without knowing the nodes.

I’d say that a lot of us have Bb/yoyo built, and the rest of the inhumans at 7 stars and g11-12ish. My plan is to focus on YA, and build a secondary team around Bb/yoyo.

If they were used for a mythic legendary unlock, I would agree. We would have them with high gear and ISO, not just stars. I suspect a lot of us focused gear on Bold and Yoyo, allowing them to carry the rest of the team. Scourge will not give us that luxury.

Well luckily the second I saw Two Inhumans getting health boosts I started farming them and all were nearly at 7ys already. Ms. Marvel is also dual YA and Inhumans. Lots of versatility here.

On one hand I appreciate the advance notice to build them up
Also it being 3 teams so less pressure to grab those new a force characters

Honestly for me a force is going to be the easiest to build, all my YA are lvl 1 except miles and ms marvel, im hesitant to invest anything into inhumans since they’re old and i only got them strong enough to unlock maw, ive got jj and cap marvel at g13 and a 7red BB g15 so im thinking he’ll be my 5th and ill boost the 2 new toons, rather than 3-5 characters for YA

Maybe. The thing about inhumans is that they don’t have much sustain outside of crystal’s one-time heal, so they’re not super great for sustained battles like scourge. Outside of yo-yo/BB, I don’t see them really bringing much to the table other than hitting once for big damage and then being done.

Well without knowing how the nodes are designed, simply having an extra tag of characters to potentially sacrifice could be valuable.
Node 10 for example in Pestilence would be much easier if you could throw any other team out to sandbag and because you don't need a full lineup to sacrifice. In a worst-case scenario the Inhuman tag gives you half a dozen turns of cooldown to waste.

Is echo going to be key to the YA team? I haven’t gotten any of her shards since her release. And is it worth leveling inhumans for this if I don’t have BlackBolt?

Nah I wouldn't say she's required for the team to work imo. Yoyo is alright standalone and Ms. Marvel is the assist machine for YA, I would build those 2.

My inhumans are big and my BB is 7 RS maxed. Seems player friendly to include an older team that most should have built to some degree already. I’m waiting for the catch (like only certain inhumans).

Based on what I am working with (380K YA, 120K JJ/CM, Large Bolt and YoYo)
I am likely to build YA as High as I can, Build Crystal, and Spare Resources to A-Force
YA doesn't rely on Dodge RA as much as WW, and based on how they operate in Tower, I feel they are well worth investing in.
If there is any spare room to work with, I'll work up some of the other Inhumans.
Got work cut out for us in the near future, (And that's not touching Wakanda, and circling back to Ravagers to balance them out)

Depending on how much time we have, I think I'm going to start with Black Bolt (I have him at 85), Captain Marvel(80), and Jessica Jones(75), and then start taking two of the YAs up. If I have time, I'll start worrying about the other three.

Build up Miles. Web warriors are basically mandatory for Doom 2 raids.

Long-term, definitely, and Miles will probably be one of the first two YAs (plus he's at 70 and the rest are at 65). But Web Warriors are in line behind the people I need for Famine. I didn't take them up enough last time and I regret not prioritizing them then.
Ironically, the net effect of this is to slow down my taking the Web Warriors up. I was about to start taking them up to 85, but they're back burnered, now.

IMO yes. Regardless of which YA isn't available, when I've still been able to pick five of the six in RTA, they've pretty consistently beat everyone who wasn't also YA.

Seems like less of a grind to me. More character choices and mix/match possibility here. And Miles is YA so most people already have him built up. Black Bolt and Yoyo combo is good too plus she just got a health boost
My guess is more eligible toons is going to translate to a higher tuned difficulty for the event.
Having inhumans on the table is definitely a bit of a gift to players who’ve been around long enough for BB/yo-yo to have been meta, though.
Yea I'm a returning player and I have wakandans and inhumans built up already. This patch has been a blessing to me lol
