Air Purifier for 1000+ sqft

Hey guys,

This seems to be the subreddit with the most discussion on air purifiers. Does anyone have any experience with the following units?

Coway Airmega 400S

Winix Tower XQ

Alen Breathesmart 75i

Would you recommend one over the others, any reasons to avoid them, or pretty much any of them will do? I cant find any solid comparisons between the units or reviews on the Winix QC.

They all seem to be solid units with similar specs. I guess the Alen is $250 more because it's made in USA?

Any help is much appreciated!

We love our Winixes (different models though). They are SILENT and easy to clean and well-designed.

yunoAustinAir? 5 year warranty. 5 year filter. They seem pricey until you factor the cost over the lifespan. Like the ~$300 filter is shocking....but for 5 years its not bad considering most others you replace every year for ~$100.

I have 2 winix xq. Annoyed about filter cost, but they do a great job at keeping down small dust. Now when I vacuum I don’t feel like I’m dying from all the dust that gets kicked up. I do see you can get off brand filters on amazon for cheaper, but they are still fairly expensive imho, and the one review on them is poor, so I’ll be sticking with the genuine filters for now.

Coway air mega 400 (I don’t have S) is good. Highly recommend.
