Tips for getting 3 yo to comply with meds

Question

Our toddler seems to have allergies according to our ped. She coughs and has phlegm build up when she lies down to sleep. We've tried everything from hot baths before bed, vaporub, humidifier, cleaning her room and removing items that may contribute to her allergies, honey, etc. The only thing we can't seem to do is a nasal spray bc she freaks out so bad she vomits. We got prescribed an inhaler and aerochamber today and she was curious at first but as soon as the inhaler was pressed, she didn't want to do it and freaks out if we make her try. Anyone have any tips on how to get a toddler to take their meds? I hate seeing her uncomfortable at night but I'm at a loss.

Do it with a stuffy first! Have the toddler practice applying the medicine to the stuffy first and talk about how much better they feel! “First bunny, then you. Now your turn!” Etc

We've tried this before without much success but haven't tried for the inhaler. Worth a shot. Thanks!

We still give my daughter her Zyrtec in a syringe. She strongly prefers the bubble gum flavor. We are also very blunt about how it will make her feel better

My husband got our daughter to enjoy taking her inhaler by turning into a game—like using it as a microphone by making silly noises when putting the aero chamber over his nose and demonstrating.
