Looking for magazine suggestions that will give me weekend project / hobby ideas

General

I'm looking to try new hobbies / activities and was hoping to get some ideas through reading magazines. Ideally, looking for a monthly variety magazine that will give me ideas for projects or activities I can try out that month. Anything from outdoor activities and sports to home improvement projects and crafts. Happy to subscribe to more than one magazine, and if there's a better way to get these ideas, also open to that. Heck, if there's a subreddit that might give me ideas, that would be great to.

Background: 48, live in the SF bay area, software engineer by trade although I'm not sure I want to do something job related in my hobbies. Athletic enough to go hiking and try hobbies like windsurfing.

Note, I'm not looking for the specific activity ideas, I'm looking for an ongoing source of them.

Fair enough. So what are some YouTube channels I should subscribe to? And is there an equivalent to channels on Pinterest?

Mike Boyd is a good source for this. His whole channel is him learning how to do random stuff to see how long it takes him.

Gardening. Unless you live in Pacifica. Then your choices are succulents and succulents. But seriously you can grow a ton of stuff further down on the peninsula, in Oakland, etc. Lots of fun! Try growing herbs from seed or tomato plants....whatever you like to eat. It'll be so fun to literally enjoy the fruits of your labor!
