Sprinkler by driveway crushed and full of dirt

I dug around it and finally got it out, but the line was bone dry and it seems to be plugged up with dirt and whatever else got on there. I used a paperclip and was able to move it around and get the paperclip all the way in but I'm not sure how far the clog is. What are the best options for trying to figure this out? I'd rather not dig up the whole pipe if I don't have to.

UPDATE: I got ahold of the previous owner and he said he cut it off from the rest of the system lol. That explains it. Thanks for all help.

Lol geez that is crazy, I wish that would have worked. I ran it for like 5-10 min and nothing came out. Should I let it go longer and see what happens? If so what’s the max time it would take to start producing water?

It depends how compacted it is and how much clay is in your soil. That was pure sand so it was pretty loose.

If the zone is made of spray nozzles (or 5004-PRS rotors) try turning them all off with the centre-screw and then running the zone - that would boost the pressure going out that clogged pipe.

If that fails, maybe dig the pipe up in a spot further back and connect a garden hose to it... or an air compressor. Maybe use a wire fish to loosen up the dirt.

Good advice, I will try that thanks

UPDATE: I cut out the elbow which was fully compacted and the pipe seemed pretty free of any blockage that I could tell, but still no water coming out.

It is a Funny Pipe because it is right by driveway and needs to bend. I don't have an air compressor, is there anything else I can try?
