Food processing facility in Chicago - Drying and fermentation room built out
Hey All - We have a commercial grade food processing/manufacturing facility south of Chicago we're looking to rent to or partner with a newer company, founder, or acquipreneur in need of resources.
It comes with drying and fermentation rooms so it would be perfect for meat, jerky, aged steak, who knows. We'd love to make it an incubator/shared space of sorts and generally help owners that don't have the resources.
Welcome any suggestions and feel free to share with your network

So I wanted to leave a quick thought on this. There seems to be a gap in the market related to large food manufacturers, Tyson, etc, and small farms. Chicago is obviously a great centralized location as o’heare is right there.
Have you considered reaching out and building a network between the MANY Illinois farmers to try and build a food distribution set up of common meats? Specifically maybe chicken, beef, and pork? Idk it just seems like that specific niche is ripe for the picking at the moment. You have the facility, why not control the wholesale and butchering process as well.
