If the RIG 500's had removable cables, I would've still used them. Mine were sweet, them being removable from the band was really nice and the band was damn near indestructible.
Sadly, cable wear and tear killed the cans. I miss them. Knowing now that you can pull this kind of shenanigans off, I miss them even more.
Do you plan to publish the stl files?
I also would like to print those adapters.
What earpads are you using on them though?
I'm using Brainwavz angled hybrid earpads, I was really hoping that they (Brainwavs) would be interested in the files themselves but unfortunately they weren't.
I can publish the STLs if you're interested, but be aware they aren't quite perfect and its a 2 part piece that has to be glued together.
I also can't say how they effect acoustics because i'm not nearly that skilled lol
I'm interested :D.
You can also try to publish the ressources on thingiverse. I guess there are multiple people still using the rig 500.
I was quite disappointed to learn I had one of the few RIG variants to have a proprietary earpad mount... after I'd bought the earpads.
So what's a guy to do except recreate the mount in Fusion 360 and print an adapter?
