On a recent pod Jeff G mentioned an MP3 dot com rap diss track he recorded. I think I’ve found it.

Jeff has referenced this character on the podcast before. I've heard him say "hip-hop sensation Juan Cocaine" before on an old episode of the Bombcast.

I don't know what's going on, but he mentioned Holland, Michigan; and I was there yesterday.

Ryan made a post about UhMer's StarCraft BroodWar rap: https://www.giantbomb.com/articles/starcraft-brood-war-blizzard-entertainment/1100-1510/
And the song in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvadEGAlUEc

The iceberg meme post here gave me an intense flashback - I’ve been aware of the existence of the John Coke Project for some time as a genuine Midnight Brown/SAS fan, and I always recognized Ryan in the intro… but a recent pod made me wonder: is this the same diss track Jeff referred to on a recent episode of the Bombcast/Dumptruck (I forget which one)?
I had my suspicions, but is this the proof I’ve been looking for that he was John Coke all along?
His voice isn’t the same, maybe pitch shifted, but the tone is there along with key references to “driving my Nova” and John Cocaine being the bomb on MP3 dot com - something we all know Jeff would claim to be.
Also I genuinely don’t remember where I found my copy of the full John Coke EP, I’m pretty sure it was the same place I found all my Suburban All Stars MP3s but honestly who even knows anymore. I swear I’m not a creep.
Well I pitch shifted the audio and it's 100% Jeff

Lmao incredible man, this is insane lol.
wow it's crazy how clearly it's jeff 100% no doubt. amazing work by the GB detective squad. i was hoping something would find this stuff...
edit: "Citizen Caine" is a great song name for John Coke. Threat status: was and still is.
Haha that's awesome, well done to both of you!
Goddammit that is awesome, well done.
Well that’s the best Reddit comment I’ve ever seen.
