I was going through some very old photos given to me by my vanaema, and came across a great portrait of her father in uniform. Given his age in the photo, I would assume this was approximately around WWI, so I assume it’s an Imperial Russian Army uniform - the circular cap badge looks similar to what I’m seeing in basic Google searches for WWI-era uniforms. My question is about the cross badge - does anyone know what it represents? I figure it might be the emblem of a certain regiment, perhaps an all-Estonian one, so I wanted to ask in case anyone here might happen to recognize it. I just got some lovely new HD660S headphones for evening listening, but I’ve got an issue. My current setup requires that I plug my headphones directly into my phono preamp as the powered speakers I have inexplicably don’t have a headphone jack, and unfortunately, the uncontrolled volume I’m getting out of the preamp is straight-up painful.

I found a cheap $20 inline volume switch accessory (Koss VC20) that I am considering picking up and using to solve this issue, but I’m just unconfident enough in my technical knowledge to not be sure if this is going to have negative effects on sound quality.

Anyone have any experience with these little inline accessories? Thanks!

If so, what’s the story on admission? I’m thinking of heading up tomorrow morning to catch the last day of camp, but I have no clue if it’s ticketed or not, along with what sort of lineups there might be to get in.

In every other level in Psychonauts 2 you get two chances to recover when touching water. It’s instant death here. Ludicrous given how much of the level revolves around timing out jumps so as to not touch water. Besides, in a game with so much collectible hunting this sudden rule change turns exploration into a risky move, given you can easily bounce off of level geometry and fall to your death.

Also, I’m constantly dying due to mistimed or poorly aimed Time Bubble shots that result in me missing a hidden platform. Or you hit these birds with Time Bubble, then need to wait for it to end so as to continue to the next platform.

Trying to shrink the collection! Two boards I’m looking to sell.

The first is a Keychron K8 TKL wireless board, with white backlighting, hotswap sockets, and Gateron brown switches. I bought this thinking it’d be my first good mechanical keyboard but ended up immediately buying an NK65 after so this hasn’t even been used beyond a quick test. Includes all documentation, accessories, etc.

The second is a Preonic v3, in silver, with a carrying case, equipped with tactile v2 62g Zealios switches and MiTo XDA Canvas keycaps. Wanted to give ortholinear a shot but couldn’t quite adapt to it. Ideally hoping to sell this board with the switches and keycaps

Hoping for a sanity check on something - I’ve got ‘21 on order and I’m considering a tire upgrade as I’m not too jazzed using the OEM tires off road.

I’m not opposed to downsizing the wheels but this is my first new car and I’m a keep-it-stock kind of guy so the change in offset to +15mm that comes with a lot of the popular fitments here concerns me a bit in terms of long-term reliability/durability (not sure if these concerns are valid).

I figure the compromise move is to get something like a set of Wildpeak Trails and throw them on my stock 18” wheels. Only issue - with a size of 225/55R18 there’s so little sidewall it seems like I might be asking for trouble when it comes to avoiding fl
