Possible CVT issues

I’ve got a 2016 Honda Accord 4cyl with the CVT transmission. Here recently I’ve been struggling to get the same gas mileage that I used to get 30-32 vs 36-38. Could it possibly have something to do with the CVT wearing down? I did notice the drop around the same time I got new tires but I wouldn’t think that could cause such a significant drop. Lmk what you think.

on my 2015 CRV w/the CVT I swapped the OEMs to Continental's. I lost about 3-4mpg after that, but I've kept the tires because they are so much better. This was about 40K miles ago.

I mean its possible the tires could cause that, but it could be the CVT as well. How old are your spark plugs? If they get worn out you will lose MPG and performance too

Did you replace the tires with the exact same brand, model, and size? If not then there ya go. Tire changes especially from OEM to aftermarket will affect mileage, on the honda insight from like 2004, changing off of the OEM tires could reduce fuel mileage by something like 10-15 MPG

Check fuel trims first

I recently had an issue with my 2013 Civix having lower gas mileage and I thought the CVt was the issue. I got a transmission fluid analysis and it showed to be okay.

I just used Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System cleaner and gained back like 6mpg, so I would just try that and make sure your fuel delivery system is okay.
