2008 Jeep Wrangler 3.8. I know I need to replace the cats asap but it’s Memorial Day and nothing is open. It’s driving pretty sluggish right now and I have to make a 3 hour drive through the mountains. My thought just to get home is to drill a hole in the cats towards the entrance so that way it’s not completely choking the engine and still keeps a good bit of back pressure. Is this a bad idea for the short term? Ride it out or drill holes?

I’ve got a 2016 Honda Accord 4cyl with the CVT transmission. Here recently I’ve been struggling to get the same gas mileage that I used to get 30-32 vs 36-38. Could it possibly have something to do with the CVT wearing down? I did notice the drop around the same time I got new tires but I wouldn’t think that could cause such a significant drop. Lmk what you think.
