Small road tires

I've got a Shogun touring bike with a 24x1⅛" (ISO 547) front tire (mismatched, a la Terry cycles), but I can't find any replacement tires. Ideally I'd get a decent one, like a Panaracer Pasela, but anything may be enough.

I'm also considering swapping out the front wheel, but the cantilever brakes don't offer a huge range for wheel size. I didn't see a close match on Sheldonbrown.com, but maybe I missed something.

Thanks!

Have you looked at what Schwalbe has? The make tires in almost every size

Schwalbe doesn't list a 547 tire. I'm going to actually measure the rim to confirm the size I need, and as u/look_mane suggested, I may try a 26" wheel in there. Especially if I max out the rear tire I don't think the geometry will suffer too much.

I'd be tempted to try slotting a 26" wheel in. Do you have one sitting around? 6mm is probably in range for cantis and definitely for some of the more adjustable V brakes out there.

Hmm, good point. Especially with the generally short height of old cantis, a 26 may work. I've got a few kicking around.
