The Color

Poem

To learn about the color so forbidden

One must learn why they kept it hidden

Hidden within the castle’s halls

On tall and shiny strange walls

The castle that keeps the color in place

To stop it from invading a different space

The color that can’t be extinguished

In the castle is distinguished

The color that was created by malevolent sages

Has survived through the ages

One glimpse would drive a man insane

A color that’s missing from the sun and rain

The color darker than black barer than white

Looks glaring at day, phantasmic at night
