It could be root locked but I doubt that is your issue. Yellow leaves is usually a sign of disease. They getting black spots as well? It could be that fungus. You can treat it with a fungicide and see if it helps. It's usually that when my leaves turn yellow.

No black spots on him. I was suspecting it, but I checked and doesn’t seem like fungi issues :(

I'd still suggest something simple like a treatment of neem oil spray. I'm having same issue on a small rose.

Did you accidentally overfertilize it? I also grow in pots and may have gone a bit crazy this year. I now have one baby rose whose new shoots all died as soon as they're like 1-2cm long and another one with yellowing leaves at the top. Thankfully it's been raining a lot so I think a lot of it got flushed out and they seem to be recovering.

I’m thinking this could be the case. I’m trying to water it in hope that he will survive. Thank you!

My Cinderella Fairy Tale leaves have been turning yellow slowly. Even the young shoots are all yellow and black and fell off afterwards. He’s in full sun area, I fertilized it with chicken manure on the top soil like 3 weeks ago. He’s supposed to be the healthiest, yet been slowly yellowing which worries me. Any idea what’s happening?
