Solutions
The thick air adds a layer to my skin,
my forehead heavy with the weight of
a warm blanket in a sauna.
The breeze merely reminds of a place
where breaths are refreshing and pure.
A distant howl and flickering siren prove
struggle is within an earshot.
The pressure builds in the encroaching sky,
the kettle left on for too long.
Why does sadness accompany the night?
Because the screeching doesn't phase me.
