Short and sweet, this poem is really effective.

In my reading of it, the way the author has quoted their own words at the end of the poem really cements this idea of hypocrisy and self-importance. It illustrates a self-awareness that they themselves are not exempt from this hypocrisy.

I like this poem a lot. Its message is conveyed so well in just a few lines and that gives it a unique self-aware quality. And the fact that the lines from the beginning are repeated word for word at the end really emphasizes that satirical quality.

Ooooh I love this tone. Your poetic voice reminds me of Charles Bukowski. I recommend checking out some of his stuff if you've not already.

This was definitely something that grew out of too much time on Reddit haha

This feels like a commentary on social media and the simultaneous interconnectedness and isolation that come from it. We opine on things we have no place to and retreat back to safety.

Apparently, everybody's an expert on everything; 

narrating, each to an empty room.

Sometimes we stop, 

to peek our heads into other rooms,

and scoff.

we say sarcastically 

“narrating, each to an empty room.”
