My dad's first poem in english
I’m over Rocky Mountains Peak
like an eagle I look at the horizon
awaiting the moment to meet
you to give you all my love
dreaming costs nothing
that's why I fly high above the peaks
so I can scan the universe,
keeping my feet on the ground
I’m one more of the herd
I want to compete, I want to fight
that's the only way to have what I'm looking for
I don't faint, if I fall I get up
I learnt it from the elders
it's the only way, it's the only way
I will find you, I know, I feel it
my eyes see far far away
the day is coming, everything will a be smile
I will dance until exhaustion
and you will lift me from such a beautiful fall
we will fly together, I will no longer be alone,
we will visit the peaks just for pleasure
not worrying about looking for you
for you are by my side
being my shield, I am the spear
we’re invincible, what we hope
we'll make it work, I'm sure of it
we’ll be fine, come on, together we can
when we are old and we will not be able to fly
the ballad of those who fly the hills will be sung
finding their love, together they went on
until the end of time.
