Booze
Firstly, thank you everyone for your feedback on my last poem - it's given me the confidence to share another one!
Title: BOOZE
Don't touch it, It stands, innocent.
Don't touch it, It stands, tempting.
Don't touch it, It sings songs - too beautiful to be ignored.
Don't touch it, It compels you to drink it's blood like the saviour.
Don't touch it, Heat rises - swirling around the cerebral elements of your soul.
Dont touch it, It's elegant grace and soft, soft texture is more danger than the infamous serpent.
Do not touch it, I hear your heart beating faster than the snare drum that follows a soldier.
Do not touch it, You're risking losing family you've fought to keep many, many, too many times.
You touched it, Me, your mind, will never be stronger than temptation. You think you've only had one.
You were 6 bottles done, 6 drinks ago.
