Are STL's plastic double ocarinas worth it?

Advice

I'm considering buying a double ocarina to be my second, and I'm wondering about the ones from STL
The plastics are pretty cheap at $65, but they also have some basic ceramics at ~$100

Does anyone have experience with these? I'm wondering how worth it the plastic ones are, or if I should save up more for a ceramic. And if so, which one? The prices for ceramics seem to have a really broad range, and it's hard for me to judge what one makes sense to buy

I own a plastic triple and it's better than not having an ocarina but I'm not satisfied with the tone compared to ceramic. Not bad, but not great IMO.

Thanks. Sounds like I should save up a bit

Do they still do a plastic double? A lot of people liked their old plastic Zelda double, just about nobody has much time for their plastic triple.

No. And I'm trying to figure out what happened to it.

Don't do it! I got one of the plastic triples, and the breath curve is quite bad. I figured I got a faulty one and sent them a note about it. They cheerfully sent me another... which is also quite bad. That was the triple, so maybe the double is better? But I'd stay away honestly.

I would recommend a songbird ocarina double instead

Dinda Ocarina currently has a Double Alto C instrument for a pretty reasonable price. The shipping time is 5-6 weeks to the US currently, but well worth the wait.

I dont recommend it. It is quite airy on the higher notes of the first chamber.
