A "Parent's" Lament

Poem

My child has died; long gone,

He pretends to be a she.

The son that was, is no more,

Funeral dirges resound, light the suttee.

I refuse to see her dawn.

Parents know best, they forsee.

Happy daughter, I'll ignore,

A dirty whoreish stain on my family tree.

I know I'm right, can't move on,

No love for him, her esprit.

I'm what matters, so therefore,

My child is deceased in this reality.
