Infidelity’s Breath

Poem

A tale as old as love itself

Their love fell cold & lifeless

Their passion was fire ever ceaseless

They remain at peace resigned to no forgiveness

A male with a soul from yesteryear

His ambitions are tired yet fearless

His body becomes a false love’s place of rest

He speaks aloud but words fall on a deaf ear

A female with more love to give

Her false love won’t pay attention

Her heart sings a song of neglected pain

She finds short comfort in Him for Her passion to live

A tale as old as love itself

Their love is one of lust and dangers

Their new comfort found in flawed strangers

They part ways at peace with infidelity’s breath
