[Official Vote Thread] What say ye about TV? **Ends June 30th 2012**
First let me start off by saying that I really like how the How do you feel about Binkies? Vote turned out. I placed a graph in the post and a smaller version on the sidebar. I really hope we get even more of a turn out in the future, but with a total of 49 comments and 33 votes, I'd like to say that turned out alright for not knowing what I'm doing...
Now, down to business...
I have a question to pose about television. Do you let your kids watch it? I'm talking little kids mostly (and to those of you who don't have little kids anymore, they were little once, I'm almost positive), because I myself have caught slack on occasion from the wifey that I let my little two year old watch, an obsorbanant amount of cartoons throughout the day. I try to just keep it to the kiddie Nick Jr type of shows, but every now and again she may catch an episode of The Simpsons or something. She learns all kinds of things from those shows that I never even would think to teach her though, like... "this is heavy/this is light" and such.
Basically what this boils down to is, are you for the in home teacher or against the 'mind rotting' TV? If you can also post your thoughts on the "TV rating system" that is on the corner of all the shows now(probably only in america? but i dunno), or just your thoughts on violent/sexual behavior (bikini girls are okay, just don't blow up heads?) and just the entire topic of TV in general is up for grabs I guess.
I'm kinda rambling now, but go forth and vote! Let's give this vote a week again, since that's about the time the last one started dying off in votes. So, June 30th I will count the votes and call it. I'll go through from time to time and update the vote count as well. Maybe edit my ramblings too.
