Is There Any Way To Share Or Put A ProtonVPN Connection On Xbox?

Help!

I cant connect my PC to my Xbox via ethernet to share it, and I cant put a VPN connection on my router. I dont have Hosted Network Support and my Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter doesnt exist for some reason. I tried using this app called noWifi from the Microsoft Store but im not sure if it actually worked or not. Is there anything I can do or am I just out of luck? If so, I wish the developers added a ProtonVPN app on the Xbox store, and all of the other consoles for that matter.

May I ask why you'd want to do this? Being a games console, presumably you're only gaming on it (I know modern consoles have browsers and chat facilities, but I'd imagine the browser facilities are rarely used given the prominence of smart devices and the chat would be largely related to whatever game you're currently playing, I would suspect).

The only result of routing your traffic through any VPN as far as I can see would be a (likely large) hit on your levels of ping and jitter, which is the opposite of what you want for an enjoyable gaming experience.

Mainly to stop DDOS attacks, it happened to me once already on it so I wanna be safe for next time.

Hi! You can set up Proton VPN on a router that supports OpenVPN, IKEv2, or Wireguard, which you would then connect your Xbox to:

https://protonvpn.com/support/wireguard-configurations/

We hope this helps.

Buy an Asus AX 11000 and use VPN Fusion. It works with wifi and wired devices. You can select what devices to use regular internet or VPN in the same time.

You can use one of your protonvpn devices as a hotspot and on the xbox connect to that through tether or something for a bit better performance than wireless connection.

thx for the info i'll try that out. Would a smartphone work? and if so, how? Sorry if these questions sound obvious

The only device I know of that could work is a Windows PC

I do it with my android phone. I just shared the hotspot to a computer I borrowed. I tried to share hotspot with windows but I couldn't get it working. Maybe you'll have better luck with it.

But the android hotspot is not secured by the VPN. (Would be possible with a rooted phone.)
