This was a very short and sweet poem; it communicates a feeling of being madly in love with someone who does not understand their own beauty. It seems as though the speaker is asking their love interest to understand why they feel the way they do. The poem is also somewhat vague and open to other interpretations, which also adds to the quality.
At first I thought this was a silly poem, but then I read it a few more times and realized that it’s actually really witty and could be widely interpreted. We’ll done in such a short amount of liens.
This is a poem that is direct and it is very well done. I think this added to the significance of the poem as each word is now more impactful than if it were longer. Word choice is amazing and the enjambment here really adds that extra ummph to it.
I love how short and simplistic this poem is, it really displays pure love, the way someone is so bound to another. The wording was what really made this poem seeing as it is so short, using words that would degrade the speaker like “beg” really reinforce the validity of what the speaker says he would do.
I like how short and sweet this poem is. How it doesn’t use much text, but still manages to encapsulate and communicate loving someone who cannot understand their own beauty.
