V6 would be nice

I agree! A v6 would be awesome!

V6 turbo

I want RWD or AWD more than a V6. Also a bigger aftermarket. I wish Dezod hadn't fallen off.

Would be nice to have a more modern dash. Maybe with a digital display for speed. An engine temp gauge would’ve been nice as well.

I will never understand why they didnt put oil temp and coolant temp gauges in a sporty coupe

Anyone else tC’s sunroof rattle when tilted open?

I've got a sub in my truck and the whole car rattles lol

Yes

Yes, must avoid any and all rocks, bumps, potholes, any type of movement really. Just open it when your stopped and close it when you drive ;)

I've always liked how window/rain guards make the tC look a little chonky. They're also super useful.

There called FRS, BRZ and 86

2
thatturkeystaken•

yea I know, but those cost 3x the price

2
ImLetifer•

No they don't!? Idk where you got your info but when got my new tC2 in 2015 it was for 23Gs the RS where 26Gs while the basic model FRS was 28Gs and the TRD version was around 30Gs while the BRZ premium was over 33Gs trust me I remember lookin into all of them

1
thatturkeystaken•

yea I meant used, I got my tc for 6k, whereas the frs/brz/etc hold their values extremely well and usually go for about 15+, new they were similar in price so the frs/brz is definitely the better value but on the used market good luck finding one under 10k

Added Apple CarPlay and SXM. Full OBDII display is an option. WeatherTech side visors. Aerial from a Honda S2K. Dome and trunk lights, license plate lights changed to LED. TRD shift knob. Darkest legal window tint.

C_Dawg1390•

What obd2 display did you get?

1
Pile_of_Walthers•

None, that’s why it’s an option. But with the right part from idatalink maestro and the right stereo, you can have all kinds of stuff displayed in the stereo’s screen.

nia body kit

SorrowCloud•

Ohhh, What’s that?

Edit - checked it out, that looks nice but looks like a bunch of stuff you can find on eBay. I’m sure it’s made way better. But for the price I’d expect something a bit better in design IMO. If I had the spare change to buy that I still would

if they used a 2ZZ instead of 2AZ (for tc1)

3
Hour-Wasabi1753•

Maybe a higher displacement version of a 2zz, it was great for the celica (since the gts weighed about 500 lbs less and was overall a bit smaller all around). The 2zz was a really cool little engine but honestly it was torque-less unless it was pushed higher up in the rev-band and for a tc I think that would’ve been disappointing as its a whole lot heavier. The fact that it could be near 8k and that it made near 200hp for a 1.8L was awesome but I think it suffered from the same thing the brz/86 went through. It had to be pushed higher up in the rev range to feel like a sports car, otherwise the 1zz was a better daily (more useable torque down low).

I say this having owned many 1zz carrying Toyotas in the past and currently owning a first gen 2010 tc and a 2005 celica gts. I honestly think they should’ve just kept tinkering with the supercharger for 2.4 2az until they got it right but that’s just my opinion. I think that would’ve been a sweet spot and really would have differentiated a commuter version from a sporty version of the tc. I have all the trd bits on my tc but they stopped making the SC in 07 or 08 and not only are they rare nowadays/very expensive if you can find a full kit but there were issues with it from the get-go. As much as I enjoy the car, I always got the feeling that it could handle more power.

More power or alternate drivetrain. I had a 2014 10 series, lowered with a CAI. But when I traded it for an STI, man did I forget about it quick. Also more aftermarket support would be nice

2
_pool_noodle_2tC•

if your asking in general, i think they shouldve came with a turbo from factory (a small one at that tho) maybe making like 5-8 pounds of boost, hense the "TC" could mean "Turbo Coupe" but other than that maybe some more selectable features from factory for the interior that would be nice too

2
ImLetifer•

Removing all the restrictions on these tCs so they can perform better had to literally get a throttle control module to remove that lag I would get when up shifting even with a quickshifter and short shifter installed .. the stock intake system is another prime example of restrictions

Where did you get your mesh grille and how much did you pay for it

If they kept making them

SecretAntWorshiper2014 tC Monogram, GT350 Heritage Edition •

Make it a Civic Type R competitor.

1
ImLetifer•

That's what the Corrolla GR is for.. the tC competes with the Si

1
SecretAntWorshiper2014 tC Monogram, GT350 Heritage Edition •

No. The Corolla GR is a rally 4WD car. It's basically a WRX/STI. The Civic Type R is a FWD track focused car. Not really the same thing

1
ImLetifer•

What!? the Civic type r, golf R, sti, wrx, etc. and other similar vehicles were all announced as it competitors when the GR was revealed so you can express your opinion on the matter but the fact remain by they're each other competion..plus im sure you knew the circuit edition is track focused too? The way tC where build made them compete with Si, GTI, etc.
