EA has abandoned the last three battlefield/battlefront games, all of which still have many players. Halo. Every CoD ever gets abandoned after release. Overwatch and CS:GO both receive pretty minor updates as well considering how big the player bases are.

I want the TF2 bot problem to be fixed not because it would make playing TF2 more enjoyable but because if they dont fix it, the IP will completely die off, as using it in anything would just be bad PR as long as the bot problem persists
Everyone and their mothers have tried to make a hero shooter and all pale in comparison to TF2's style and characters. It would be a huge shame if they dont do something more with it

They were one of the first to implement loot boxes and people still buy that shit today. Not to mention the trading scene. Valve just seems lazy and/or incompetent honestly.

From what I've seen before, Valve employees have a lot of freedom to choose what they work upon. Guess nobody sees a career in TF2.

In reality, the "freedom to work on whatever" has been discounted by ex Valve employees. There is an internal pecking order that heavily encourages certain directions to be taken in the company.
