Hey all I’m moving to the city from out of state and I’m somewhat familiar with the city for safe areas but we found places near the “western village pied piper” area on a street around NW 101st-104th and I don’t know much about it there.

From what I saw, the apartments on that corner are rough but driving the street it seems like a mixed bag and housing on nearby streets seems decent. We don’t have kids so safety isn’t a top priority but Id like to know what it’s like.

Can anyone give me a read on this area if they’ve lived around there or know anything? Give me a 0-10 where 10 is perfectly safe and 0 is ghetto.

This may seem like a weird question but let me explain.

I was diagnosed with a pretty serious illness around 2020 and it caused an employment gap of multiple years. I've had several hiring managers ask about the gap already and I gave varied answers, normally to muted responses but I never gave any details about the illness.

I also made sure to add the detail that it was resolved and it is not something that affects me any longer.

So why do I actively want to bring it up? Well because not only does it explain my employment gap but I also feel like it showcases strong character traits that may overcome the taboo idea of bringing it up in the first place.

After my illness was reso

What’s the rush?

Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm based third-person melee combat game that rewards you by landing your hits on the beat. From a list of flowing combos comes a catchy beat, skilled moves, and rocking visual effects. This is a masterpiece of a game and its stylistic characters banter in hilarious ways, its world comes together to feel alive, and its art style just never stops hitting those notes. If you want to know about the hype, let’s get into it.

Music make you lose control

This is what keeps the game together in a rhythm-based fighter, it’s the peanut butter that glues the bread into a sandwich. The music is phenomenal, I just need you to listen to it.[This is what I’m talk

Summary

This game is firmly in the collectathon platformer genre of games and seeks to outright revive the soul of Banjo-Kazooie and extract it into a new body. The fresh coat of paint with all new characters and modern graphical styling is an attempt to distance itself from retro aesthetics while keeping some charming aspects. Gone are the convoluted controls and returning are the random chirping noises for dialog. But is the upgrade from collecting the jiggies to ordering the pagies enough to make this title distinct? The soul of the collectathon is here, lets find out if it was worth the cost of digging it up.

Background: Myself and a friend really enjoy factory games like factorio and satisfactory. I used to play the old Technic pack and Tekkit and I really enjoyed those but I’ve had a longer break from them. I’d love to get back into something similar to those packs with my friend. My friend has played a ton of vanilla Minecraft a long time ago but isn’t familiar with mods.

Here’s what I’m looking for: A factory or tech based pack that is easy to pick up and get into with a decent amount of depth. I specifically want something that doesn’t leave you stuck in the early game for a while because it’s possible my friend will get bored. So something that grows the players power/utility somewhat quic

Original review post on Lemmy:

This game has a pretty interesting premise with a story centered around cults and the Cthulhu legend. I don’t know much about either so I was intrigued and since I received this game in a bundle some time ago, I wanted to give it a shot. The game is narratively focused so I’ll talk mostly about theme, art, and story as I go.

I’ll start with the look and feel of the game by saying that I have middling opinions on how this game looks. The textures are good for the most part and convey the atmosphere pretty well. The game falls apart though when it comes to animations. Everybody moves and expresses themselves worse than cardbo

I'm having awful audio come through on the deck during remote play. It sounds overly compressed an loud audio makes everything go super tinny like its an old speaker or something. I have done a lot of fiddling with the deck and even reimaged it entirely. No solve. The host can stream fine to other clients, but not the deck. Changing audio settings does nothing and the beta build fixes nothing.

I have tried other software like moonlight (which now has really bad audio crackle) and that specific issue isn't present. Just with the steam streaming. I reinstalled steam on the host. I reinstalled the audio drivers on the host. What gives?

I tried reaching out to valve but they can be slow to res

After applying the last update, my streaming audio seems to be wrecked. The audio sounds overly compressed and very tinny at certain times. I have tried for awhile to troubleshoot and even reimaged the deck. Anyone have a similar problem or ideas to fix it?

I’m curious if there are any sort of beginner mods that add complexity to the game and maybe double the time to complete it. I’m not trying to spend hundreds of hours, but I’d like more depth out of the game or a particular and interesting challenge.

What are your experiences and where should I go to get more out of the game?

For background: I took a long break from Minecraft but I loved the old school mod packs. The old Technic and Tekkit packs were favorites of mine and I enjoy the automation aspect of a pack. I liked buildcraft and industrial craft (it’s been a long break okay?). The problem is, I haven’t played in a long time with mods and I have no clue where to start enjoying the game again with mods.

I’d prefer something that leans towards factory building with more challenge, but I also enjoy diversity in mods. And anything that adds objectives to factory building or powerful progression from beginning to end game would also be interesting.

It’s a struggle because I want the pack to be intuitive while

Here’s the story: I am a college student in the US who regularly sees specialists in my home state. I utilize the state insurance to keep myself covered and to cover the specialists I see. However, I go to college in another state.

The problem: I can’t transfer insurance to the college state because I’d lose access to my specialists. Which means I can’t get medication here (I have it shipped) and I can’t see doctors here.

The question: Is there an affordable way, preferably without losing my home state insurance, to see a GP and receive medication in my college state?

Looks like I can't sign in to my account right now. I recently logged in for the first time in months to update my profile. I turned on 2FA (which may be why this happened) and now when I go to log into my account, it wants identity verification.

I submitted my state (NM) driver's license to the system multiple times. I tried different lighting and angles, had a full frame, perfect picture. It sent me emails saying the ID could not be read and wasn't valid.

Now I'm fully locked out. It says "something unexpected happened" when I submit my ID photos. Can anyone help?

At least two species of crabs on the ocean floor are known to be able to see ultraviolet light despite living in an extremely dark environment. It is thought by researchers to be an interaction with bioluminescense, which is common in the open ocean floor but not in the environment of these crab species.
