I wanna go to Valle Nevado this summer since it's on the Ikon pass. Anyone got any tips for the area?
I know very little about the area, so any and all advice will be appreciated!

I recommend you the south of chile you have Corralco is better than every ski park in Santiago bc you have more snow. Today more than 50 cm of snow is falling. I went three days ago and everything was working
Corralco
it looks great but it's 9 hours from santiago...
Nevados De Chillan is closer, only 5h from Santiago and like 50 inches (125cm) forecast in the next 4-5 days.
Is that place much more likely to get the storms?
Yeah, and it generally gets hit with more snow during storms which hit both.
Not much going on other than a small resort town. The good stuff is in Santiago and the surrounding areas. Get some skiing in and then go see Chile
Shoulda clarified I include Santiago in the "area". Anything there worth checking
I like Valparaiso and would recommend a few days there. Also do a wine tour or two in one of the winegrowing regions
I snowboarded there in 1999 as a 16 year old California kid on student exchange. It was a lot of fun. I got a handwritten receipt for my lift ticket. That’s about all I remember about the mountain itself. Have a good time!
It's good, but different from ski resorts in Europe and North America in many ways (I think that's the case for you).
I advise you to check the weather and open tracks close to the date on official and/or specialized local websites.

Its not the best skiing, but easy to get to from Santiago. Be prepared for those leg straddle lifts everywhere.

I will always feel this way - please don’t get Ikon i’m begging you. Unless you mostly stay in your state, the environmental cost of traveling to ski on beautiful land is too much. And Ikon is exploiting it further.
Ok well I live in so cal, so I'm gonna go ahead and get the pass that has all the mountains around me...and like..should I just never ski international anymore? Or travel? What is this take
Honestly valle is not very cool unless you spend a lot to stay at their top end resorts. I stayed in farellones and it was a pain and a half to get there every day and the skiing was pretty meh compared to the Rockies. I’ve heard that Portillo is the place to go if you want to ski in northern Chile.
The Lo Barnechea cam looks amazing right now
