I’m not Portuguese but I think it’s something like Joo-OW Puh-LEE-nyuh (emphasis in caps).
The ã is meant to be nasal but that’s sort of hard to describe. He’s right that no commentator is going to pronounce it anywhere near right but that’s nothing new.

He's probably top 3 Portuguese CDMs right now. Don't be fooled by his poor season, it's just a rough patch of form and the system being tweaked towards a more creative two-man midfield. Fulham are getting a very good player for not very expensive, kudos to them

Pretty great signing for them. As a newly promoted team getting a top talent to protect the back 4 is going to give them a much better chance of staying up.
