Since the new update (1.12.1) I’ve got to see how the little guy handles crashes. Pretty seamless, and expected with new hardware and a new update.
Guess I’ll never get to see the end of that joke about the bounciest butt in the world until they update it again.
Anyone else having sideloaded games crash your system after the update?

A Joke That's Worth $0.99 is a known issue since the update. It's now mention in a few places confirmed by dozens. Hopefully an update to the app can fix it.
But now that i hear that others games are crashing more often, makes me think it might have to do with the latest firmware. maybe a memeory leak? or some bad coding.
99 cent every time and Tiny Plane and Playtris have each crashed once. It’s all good. I’m stoked that the system doesn’t take forever to reboot or get locked. Honestly I’m mostly impressed that this is the first time this is happening to me! Thanks for letting me know it was reported elsewhere I hadn’t seen it yet and wanted a confirmation it wasn’t just me.
Playtris has been working perfectly for me. play twice today with no problems.
Started crashing for me every game earlier (for sure Fish’N Feathers and You Cannot Go Back. There were others but can’t remember at the moment). Guessing it’s something with the update. Edit: I think it was every time I’d lose in a game?

Try to contact the devs, they will maybe try on 1.12.1 if they have a PlayDate or launch a play test to find and fix bugs
I've had a few crashes today after none over the past week since I received my playdate. I assumed it was the game, Fish'n Feathers, where it happened every time I lost. It also happened once in Tiny Plane 3D. I didn't consider the update having something to do with it.
Ive opened that dang game so many times and every time since the update it immediately crashes. That’s why I drew the line between the two.
My game Fish'n Feathers is definitely crashing when a fish hits the ground. I believe it's a regression introduced in 1.12.1 since a few other games are seeing the issue. Panic are working on it today but I'm also looking into fixes on my end (but it's challenging since I'm not getting any error log).
