Strange New Worlds soundtrack?

Hello everyone, with the last episode of SNW season 1 having aired (and I'm already on SNW withdrawal), the soundtrack was supposed to drop anytime now. Last I've read was late June/early July. I reckoned it would be released after the season ends.

Has anyone any more info on when we might expect a release? If the word on the street about early July is true, my bet would be Friday next week, though no official announcement of any sort has been made yet, unfortunately.

I asked Nami about it on Twitter and she said what you posted above. It's an inexact science and the speed at which it gets released probably depends on some poor intern uploading content into a CMS somewhere...

This year, but never trust what a composer tells you about release dates, they don't know anything. The composer sells the rights of the entire music to the producer company and from there they decide everything about the release date, I've seen this dozens of times and I'm used to never fulfilling what they say.

The release dates for tv series is the most absurd thing I have ever seen. With movies the soundtracks it's almost always a few days before the movie release, but with TV series I have come to see delays of months to even years.

Lower Decks Vol.1 soundtrack was released October 8, 2021, and the series release was August 6, 2020, so imagine. And if I remember correctly, the same happened with all Discovery's OSTs.

We live in a weird time, apparently...no Discovery Season 4 soundtrack, at this point, either. IIRC, up to this point in New Trek the soundtracks have dropped around the day of the finales or thereabouts. Is there just no demand for them? It costs (relatively) nothing to release them digitally.

Well if star trek Discovery season 4's OST is anything to go by, it might be Christmas you are looking at for a potential release date

No. It didn't. I'm looking at file timestamps now, and I got the S2 score of Picard on May 4, 2022...the finale aired on May 5, 2022.
