Bureaucracy Bound
Take the case of the claustrophobic
Who, day by day, grew only more sick.
Rooms became tombs to the dwindling loon -
Life at the mercy of a cognitive trick.
'Til the day on the train when the man made a scene
While the walls crept closer from where they had been,
The shrinking locomotive was a potion for commotion,
So they took the man away where you cannot hear him scream
Shackled up in his padded cell
He begged for help and yelled like hell.
Though if he pleased to be released
It was peace and calm that he must sell.
When he couldn't offer either,
They extended the man's seizure,
And to this day there the man remains.
Standard operating procedure.
