SSD part substituting

Discussion

I know during the pandemic some good ssd's with tlc had their components cheapened to qlc without new model numbers. How do i know which brands or models did cheap out? Would they be back to normal now or are they still shipping with inferior internals? I know the crucial P2 did and i think the XPG sx8200 changed its controller and storage. But what others? Im not sure what brand to trust anymore. I saw a crucial P2 2tb on sale for 150 at newegg but i don't think i want a qlc drive and i dont know which it will be.
