Which knight armor to use for giant hunting at 65? How much STA do I need to face tank?

I tried giant hunting with my BP but it didn't go so well because it's difficult to dodge the aoe, especially on mobile, and if I mess up once I get one-shot. So I wanted to try a knight. (Lvl 48 atm)

So my main question is if the higher defense on the lvl 60 vendor knight armor would be better than the 30% hp from Rescorn. I'd be using +3 plugs and sta rings, as well as buffs from my BP. I also have pretty much no money atm so avoiding Rescorn would be great.

Can I safely tank the aoe hits with the vendor set while still having stat points left over for str? How little sta can I get away with having? Btw I have a guardian big sword ready to help with damage.

Some attacks will always one shot you. The giant Hoppre for example has a nasty wind attack that hits a million times that kills my Knight in an instant even with full Warpon.

It will take some trial and error to figure out which ones you can safely face tank and which you can't.

Rescorn Because of hp, Full sta and buffs then u can Face Tank with shield and 1h hof

NPC because of def. Hp is a noob trap.

Have you tested that theory? Level 60 knight alt here wondering what set to buy. Trying to ultimately face tank ~60 giants to farm Gweps.

Def formula got reworked (much more complicated than just atk - def = dmg in official) and def now reduces crit dmg.

While I can agree on the trap the 20% attack speed makes for quicker giants. Slower killing means I'll kill more then you, more giants more chances.

Good point. I think I'm going to try to use by BP too for stonehand and for more damage. Hoping the stonehand + knight stun keeps it relatively stun locked

I personally have a BP 75 with the 75 set and hknuck and I can tell you from my point. The giants are bitches lol. Buy with max quick step I can hop out pretty quick. Also remember the Stonehand was nurfed so the giants have a cool down of like 20 seconds before you can stun again. But they cannot use aoe during stun so that helps.
