Fear of Disapointment.

Workshop

Here I fear the time may come-

When I will be not awesome

Sad I am for that may be

But a tragedy that very will be…

It all began a year ago

When I was -a little- shallow

Thought the world I could conquer

Deloused by my big ego

Working hard not I do

Hardly working that I do

Do this, not that I heard before

A winning champ I am no more

Prestigious schools, my parents sent me

Thinking a doctor, I will be

Curing patients who are sickly

And treating them with honesty

Or an engineer who will possibly

Build skyscrapers in a valley-

Who rich and famous there will lay…

I am a living failure, that I fear

Won’t live up to the standards my parents bear

“But the time has yet not to come

for them to witness the dark in me”

Never will there arrive, I thought

Where this bloody battle will be fought-

Words and feelings hearts they scratch

But here I am at this rough life patch

(Psss... I would like to know if the theme of the poem is cleché)
