I need advice
I have been so stressed for this past month. I tried to fix a bunch of things but it’d always come back after a day or two. I had a trip with my mother and sister to relax. I was able to very briefly, but now I feel like something is missing. I feel so detached from everything. I started thinking more negatively for some reason (trying not to) and the days started to feel repetitive and bland. Without my mom in the house I feel even more this way. I am closest to her and even my conversations with her feel fake and bland. I love everyone so much, my friends, and family, I just want to go back. I am trying to find out how. I tried to indulge in my hobbies a bit while also writing about how I’m feeling. Like poetry, drawing, calling friends. But I’m always just left scrolling through social media and watching videos. I want to stop this. And I also never feel the need to talk to my sister. Because sometimes she just annoys me. Every time she comes to talk to me it’s always about her. It’s not like I want it to be about me but everytime i walk into the room to talk to her she’s doing some activity for herself. I just don’t feel the need. I don’t know if this is affecting me but I feel even lonelier. I feel drained and I lethargic. I wish I could go outside and meet my friends in real life, but all our schedules are different. I looked in the mirror and thought my skin was getting darker which I immediately related to diabetes. I got a bit anxious and then stopped after realizing it was probably just lighting. I started dieting and I worry if I’m eating too much or too little. I even thought I had an ED but my therapist and I eventually talked it over as general anxiety. I get worried time to time about it. I plan what I eat and perhaps that is stressing me out. This feeling is horrible to me. Usually I feel relaxed and content, but I feel restless. Is there anything else I can do to target this? Like picking up new hobbies?

I feel like I share a similar attitude about life to you right now. Everything seems like some sort of chore and I feel like I can't accomplish what I need to without dialing my stress up to 11. That just makes me want to disengage so that I don't stress out, but then that's just depressing. It is difficult to navigate. It almost feels like a binary choice between being depressed and stressing myself to exhaustion.
Maybe I'm not the best to get advice from on this since I'm suffering the same way (or at least I feel like I'm experiencing something similar to you), but I feel like I'm in need of something like a reset. Just a few weeks of simply enjoying the company of my friends and family and not giving a damn about responsibilities
I totally agree with needing a reset. When I look at it I think it is the environment and certain habits that might be causing this. When I started watching what I eat more, I began to feel this way in a couple days. I tried to tell myself that I was going to be okay but it’d never make me feel complete sure. I still stress over if I’m eating too unhealthily or too much, too little. I’m looking to solve it and maybe that might help me. I don’t know about you, but I noticed that I also tend to get energized talking to others. But I don’t feel the need to because I’m too stressed about something. Spending time with others makes you forget even if it’s temporary. Its difficult and it really feels like a constant cycle and it’s nice to have someone to relate to. I hope that we can overcome this! Best of luck to you.
