haunting memory
People are looking at her with annoyed faces and disgust, She didn't care she just let them pass. It wasn't new to her anyway, Life seems she had been in the wrong way.
To get affected is worse, To swallow up herself into silence is better than burst. The cold feeling she was in, is finding a way through her veins.
It was on a summer day, but the sun seemed to hide its rays. The sad melody echoed as the wind blows, The rattling of the water as it flows.
She was with her when everything happened, And like a strike so sudden, Through life and death where they separated, Her flailing soul forever departed.
She looked at her lying still, She couldn't believe it was for real, Someone so dear to her was now gone, together with their dreams that can never be found.
She was her light through the night, Her smile to a lonely heart shines bright, When you get caught up on a day, Her presence helps you get through whatever may.
Now that a part of her is lost, The memories continued to haunt her like a ghost, As an eerie howl deep in her soul, Bring shivers as tears fall.
“Take care of yourself and don't be weary, Life is full of surprise and mystery, stay strong when you ain't feeling like holding on, I'll be your shoulder to lean on.”
She remembered the words softly spoken, Sweet comforting words from her dear friend, Before her eyes, she was taken, By the edge of the earth that left her broken.
She finds it all lies when she left her, Alone in the world with so much to bear, What she thought was her own, Is now and ever gone.
Being in the shell is the safest place she could find, Away from people's vicious minds, blaming her for the things she didn't do, guess she blamed herself she hadn't saved her too.
Watching as the twilight descended was the only time that she felt grounded, When the world was silent and no one can see her Into the dark, she doesn't fear.
That was almost four years ago, Time and days and life wasted, She just wanted to let it go, As flower buds and daybreak, she waited.
She composed herself fully determined, Amidst the troubles and pains, she wanted to begin, A new life with no more hiding, Ready to face what'll tomorrow bring.
“Start by forgiving yourself and others, You don't have to forget the past, but move on,” A voice coming from which looked like her reflection, Slowly illuminates revealing its complexion.
“Life is full of surprise and mystery, It's either good or bad we're not free, keeping your faith is what you can do, 'cause Someone has been keeping an eye on you.”
“ Too much has gone by, But it's not yet the end of time, You breathe, you survived though things are tough, You made it this far cos you're strong enough. “
“ So don't give up cos there's more in life than you've ever known, continue your dreams and don't feel alone, Knowing Someone's going along with you, Someone great and powerful who believes in you. “
As she was about to speak and open her mouth, The glowing light swiftly just faded out, And twice did she feel she was left behind, By her dearest friend whose nowhere to find.
But soon as she remembered what she'd been told, Memories then flooded into her thoughts, Which gave her courage and strength, To stand and fight until the end.
Then morning came with great delight, Upon leaving yesterday's fright, The cool breeze of the wind blows, As it sang a sweet mellow.
When she stepped out of the gloom, people are looking at her as she blooms, Now all things seem new in every way, Since then, her life has been good every day.
