I switched from a 203mm Saint front rotor to a 203mm Galfer front rotor on my bike and the of engagement seems a bit high. The pad contact is a bit more centered on the 180mm setup on the rear. I’m also getting a rapid ticking noise when applying the front brake that I am suspecting is the waves on the outside of the rotor passing by the pad.

Currently running a 180>203mm Shimano post adapter on a Rockshox Lyrik. I do see Galfer sells some adapters as well but their website isn’t super clear. Has anyone else run in to this issue and did the Galfer adapter solve it? Otherwise I’m thinking of just taking a file to the Shimano adapter.

Really happy with the braking performance otherwise. Running the Galfer purple e bike compound pads on my bike park bike. Really good modulation, lots of power, and no fade.

I agree, it looks like the pads are riding too high on the rotor. I would want to be sure that the outboard edge of the pads is no further out than the outboard edge of the rotor at the high point. It may take you shaving off a pit of material from the adapter or finding a smaller one. After shaving/swapping double check that the bolts are not bottoming out before you try to apply full torque to them.
