Hey all. I have a trip slated to Bentonville in a couple weeks and I’m wondering what the dirt conditions generally are this time of year.

I generally think of springtime as rainy and muddy but I’m not sure how the trails down there handle it, how fast they dry, etc.

I’ve got an Aggressor on the front and a Rekon on the rear of my bike since I basically never ride in the wet/mud up here in MN, should I swap to something that‘s maybe a bit better in the soft/mud before I head down there?

I’ve been noticing a bit more chain slap recently on my mountain bike and when I push the derailleur cage forward it doesn’t seem to have as much resistance as it used to. I don’t have another SRAM bike to compare to but it certainly doesn’t seem to have as much resistance as the XT mech on my other bike.

It looks like they’re not “officially” serviceable but I did find some posts where people had figure out how to service and adjust the Type 2 clutch so I’m hoping someone has figure it out for the Type 3. I’m always a fan of repairing rather than replacing if possible and it seems like a shame to throw out an otherwise perfectly good mech if I can avoid it.

Hi all, I have a DT240 with the 54T ratchet that I'd like to quiet down just a bit. The special DT grease is really loud and I wouldn't mind quieting it down just a touch. I have a couple different greases on hand, but SRAM butter seems like it wouldn't be a whole lot thicker, maybe just enough. Anyone tried it? Any reason I shouldn't?
